A friend of mine brought me...Thanks for this info. A friend of mine brought me to Mr. Poon (the restaurant) around 15 years ago and I never forgot how delightful and sumptuous my meal was. I never got to return anyway. When Richard Poon became famous, I wondered if he was related to the restaurant. On fathers day, he posted the picture of Mr. Poon and himself. Now that picture and this article now gives me the rightful answers. Before...Mr. Poon is in fact Richard Poon's dad. Before Richard Poon became a recording artist, he used to cook in one of the older restaurants of Mr. Poon. The original Mr. Poon restaurants closed down, not sure about some of the franchises, then it was only a few years ago that Mr. Poon reopened with the new restaurant along Guerrero St. You will often find Richard Poon dining there with friends even on weeknights..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
